Bodyboarding past and present legends to coach at Boogie Youth clinic

Australian bodyboarding Hall-of-Famer Steve “Bullet” Mackenzie will headline a star-studded cast of bodyboard coaches for the upcoming Boogie Youth clinic at Maroubra next month.

Run in conjunction with the Maroubra Bodyboard Club competition on September 5, Bullet will be joined by APB Men’s world tour competitor Jacob Romero, 2014 women’s Pipleine champion Lilly Pollard, 2014 Shark Island Challenge runner-up Shaun Peterson and more for the FREE clinic.

The clinic is open to bodyboarders of all abilities including beginners, intermediate and advanced.

The day will consist of expert advice and coaching from the champion bodyboarders, including surf awareness, rescue techniques, bodyboarding 101 and introduction to competition bodyboarding and judging.

Bullet watches on as a grom takes a wave

Boogie Youth aims to inspire, educate and motivate kids of all ages and cultural backgrounds to a healthy coastal lifestyle.

Those with spare wetsuits, bodyboards, fins and other gear are also encouraged to donate to the Boogie Youth organisation.
