With all three frontrunners of the APB Women’s World Tour through to the final rounds of the Nazaré Pro,  the 2015 World Champion is expected be crowned by the end of today.

Reigning world champion Alexandra Rinder (Canary Islands) along with challengers Sari Ohhara (Japan) and Isabela Sousa (Brazil) all progressed to the quarter-finals of the Nazare Pro yesterday after posting solid scores in their round four heats.

Rinder will take on Brazil’s Jessica Becker in her heat while the world title race will come down to two when Ohhara and Sousa face off in their quarter-final heat.

There is also a chance the two world title contenders could face off in the final round of the Nazaré Pro, making for a dramatic end to the inaugural APB Tour event.

While Rinder has been the one to beat all season, Ohhara has been in-form recently after taking at the Tahara Pro in Japan and backing that up with a close runner-up finish at the Sintra Pro.

“I didn’t imagine I would be in this situation. I just feel so lucky,” Ohhara said.

“It is going to be tough (to win the world title).

“But I want it from the bottom of my heart and I believe I can make it.”

The APB WWT quarter finals will begin today at 5.30pm (AEST).
