He dreams of a world bodyboarding title, and now he will have someone who has been there many times before to show him the way.

South African shredder, and current APB world number five Iain Campbell has inked a deal with six time world champion Guilherme Tamega’s board company, GT Boards.

The 25-year-old from Durban, who is endearingly called “Big Red” for his ginger locks, signed with GT after a three-year stint with Thiel Board Co – owned by South African legend Billy Thiel.

Tamega signed Campbell after watching the former ISA Games champion have a breakout season in Hawaii.

“For me (Campbell was) the stand out this Hawaiian season,” Tamega said.

Will this mean in a signature all red colourway pro model from Big Red? We certainly hope so…
